Meet Dr Renee Knott
Dr Renee Knott (Chinese Med) is an AHPRA and CMRBA registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Herbalist with over 20 years of clinical experience.
She has worked in private practice for over 15 years in Melbourne and, more recently, spent four years at Bloom Chinese Medicine on the Sunshine Coast, one of Queensland's busiest fertility-focused Chinese Medicine clinics.
Whilst Renee works with a wide variety of health conditions, Renee has a particular passion for women's health and enjoys supporting women through every phase of life, from first period through to pregnancy, menopause and all the moments in between.
About Raintree
Raintree was created with one simple intention: to slow things down.
After working across many clinics over 2 decades, Renee wanted to build a space where there's time to slow down, to listen and to heal.
At Raintree, acupuncture is thoughtful and unhurried. Renee provides care that is personal, considered, and grounded in experience of the rich knowledge and wisdom of Chinese Medicine.
Providing detailed treatment plans, you'll always know what to expect in each treatment, how many sessions you may need, and what steps you can take along the healing journey.

Not sure if this is the right fit?
You're welcome to book a free 15-minute phone consult to talk through your needs with Renee and see if Chinese Medicine and acupuncture feel right for you.
What We Help With
These are the main areas of care Renee focuses on, supporting you through different stages of life with the same steady, relationship-based care.
Fertility & Preconception
Support for people trying to conceive – with or without IVF – paying attention to cycles, stress, sleep and overall health alongside your medical care.
Pregnancy & Postpartum
Care through all trimesters and into the fourth trimester, with support for comfort, sleep, anxiety, birth preparation and postnatal recovery.
Menstrual & Hormonal Health
Support for painful, heavy or irregular periods, PMS/PMDD, perimenopause symptoms and cycle-related mood or sleep changes.
Stress, Sleep & Digestive Balance
Care for the nervous system and digestion, including stress, burnout, sleep difficulties and IBS-type symptoms that sit under everything else.
Ongoing Women's Health & Long-Term Care
Many people stay for years, moving from cycles into fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause with the same practitioner alongside them.
Other Concerns
While some concerns don't fit neatly into categories, there is also space for more complex presentations.
- Tension-related pain
- Chronic headaches or migraines
- Complex symptom patterns
- Cancer care and support

What to Expect
First Visit
Your first appointment is a longer visit so there is time to:
- •Talk through your main concerns and health history in detail.
- •Look at cycles, sleep, stress, digestion and overall context – not just one symptom.
- •Discuss what feels realistic for you in terms of treatment frequency and support.
- •Begin treatment with acupuncture, and, if appropriate, discuss Chinese herbal medicine and simple lifestyle suggestions.
The aim is for you to leave feeling listened to and clearer about the next steps.
Ongoing Care
Ongoing appointments focus on:
- •Reviewing what has changed since your last visit.
- •Adjusting treatment to where you are in your cycle, fertility treatment or pregnancy timeline.
- •Continuing to support your nervous system, digestion and sleep over time.
Plans are always collaborative and flexible. The goal is steady progress that fits around work, family and medical care, rather than adding extra pressure.
